Imo Police Enforce Ban on ENTRACO Activities

The Imo State Police Command has begun enforcing a ban on all activities of the State Environmental Transformation Agency Commission (ENTRACO) and related taskforces, as directed by Governor Hope Uzodinma. According to a press statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, the police have fully commenced the enforcement of the suspension and are urging affected staff and allies to comply with the new order.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has instructed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to ensure strict compliance with the ban. The police have warned that anyone operating under the name or guise of ENTRACO will be promptly arrested and prosecuted. The command is working closely with the state government to support ongoing investigations into ENTRACO’s activities, including verified complaints of misconduct, extortion, or abuse by its operatives.

Members of the public with credible information or complaints are encouraged to report directly to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at the Police Headquarters in Owerri. The police have assured the public that they will remain committed to protecting lives and property, upholding the law, and maintaining public confidence during the enforcement process.

The ban on ENTRACO’s activities is a significant development in the state’s efforts to address concerns about the agency’s operations. The police command’s enforcement of the ban is aimed at ensuring that the rule of law is upheld and that the rights of citizens are protected. As the investigations into ENTRACO’s activities continue, the public can expect further updates on the matter.

In the meantime, the police are urging citizens to cooperate with the enforcement efforts and to report any incidents of misconduct or abuse. The command’s commitment to protecting lives and property and upholding the law is a reassuring step towards maintaining public confidence in the state’s security agencies. With the enforcement of the ban on ENTRACO’s activities, the Imo State Police Command is taking a firm stance against any form of illegality and misconduct, and the public can expect a more secure and stable environment.
