Over 8,000 civil servants in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) are set to take promotion examinations this week. The exams, scheduled to run from Tuesday to Saturday, will be held at the National Open University Study Centre in Abuja. According to Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, the examinations will cover 165 cadres and utilize a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.

The CBT platform was introduced to enhance the promotion exercise, which was approved by the FCT Minister as part of staff motivation efforts. The minister had earlier approved the promotion of 49 directors who successfully passed the CBT examination in August. This move underscores the FCT’s commitment to leveraging digital technologies to streamline its processes.
