The Nigerian Television Authority’s Kaduna Network Centre has recognized Governor Uba Sani as the Best Performing Governor on Security and Development. This acknowledgment reflects his administration’s efforts to restore peace and promote inclusive governance across the state. The award was presented during the station’s 2025 Customers and Awards Night, held at the NAF Club in Kaduna.
Governor Sani was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki. The ceremony was chaired by Hon. Aminu Jaji and attended by prominent personalities, including Senator Shehu Sani, members of the National Assembly, and media executives. In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Maiyaki thanked the NTA Kaduna Network Centre, stating that the award mirrors the progress achieved under Governor Sani’s leadership.
The administration’s achievements highlighted include the reopening of over 500,000 hectares of farmland, the revival of key markets in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, and Chikun, and the construction or rehabilitation of more than 750 kilometres of roads. Additionally, 900 trucks of fertilizer were distributed to over 200,000 farmers. Many schools, health facilities, and farmlands that had been shut down due to insecurity have resumed operations, underscoring the impact of the governor’s peace and security initiatives.
NTA Zonal Director Ishaq Abbas commended Governor Sani for stabilising the state and acknowledged the reforms introduced by the Director General of NTA, which have improved the broadcaster’s operations and public engagement. Chairman Aminu Jaji urged Nigerians to promote national unity and responsible information sharing, calling for restraint in the spread of misinformation on new media platforms and encouraging conventional media to uphold neutrality and professionalism.
The ceremony highlighted Governor Sani’s peace‑driven reforms and their visible impact at the community level, earning broad commendation from media leaders and stakeholders. The recognition underscores the importance of effective governance and security in promoting development and stability in the region and is expected to further encourage the administration to continue its efforts in fostering peace and inclusive governance.
