APC Chieftain Sees Victory in Oyebamiji’s Emergence

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed confidence that the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge victorious in the August 8, 2026 governorship election. Oyintiloye made this statement while speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, attributing Oyebamiji’s emergence as the party’s candidate to the APC’s growth and excellence in character.

Oyebamiji’s selection was made through a consensus arrangement, which Oyintiloye believes demonstrates the party’s ability to work together towards a common goal. He praised the APC leadership, members, and other aspirants who stepped down, allowing for a seamless primary process. Oyintiloye noted that the party’s impending victory would facilitate the implementation of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in Osun State.

The former lawmaker recalled that some individuals had predicted an implosion within the party due to the large number of aspirants vying for the gubernatorial ticket. However, Oyintiloye credited the intervention of party leaders, including President Tinubu, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and Chief Bisi Akande, for ensuring a successful primary.

Oyintiloye urged the APC leadership in Osun State to strengthen the party further to guarantee a smooth victory in the governorship poll. He assured that Oyebamiji, if elected, would lead a people-friendly government that would implement programs and policies to positively impact the lives of residents. Oyintiloye also called on party members to unite and redouble their efforts to return the APC to power in the state.

The APC’s primary election in Osun State has set the stage for the upcoming governorship poll. With Oyebamiji as the party’s candidate, the focus now shifts to the main election. Oyintiloye’s comments emphasize the importance of unity and hard work within the party to achieve victory. As the election approaches, the APC’s ability to work together and present a strong candidate will be crucial in determining the outcome.
