Tinubu Presides Over APC National Caucus Meeting

A meeting of the National Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently underway at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, presided over by President Bola Tinubu. This gathering marks the party’s second caucus meeting in 2025, following an earlier session held on February 25. It is also the first meeting since Professor Nentawe Yilwatda took office as APC national chairman in July.

The meeting comes on the heels of a recent rescheduling of the party’s National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, which were initially set for December 15-16 but have been pushed to December 18-19. The NEC meeting is now slated to take place on Friday at the Presidential Villa.

In attendance are high-ranking party members, including serving and former governors, as well as principal officers of the National Assembly. The APC National Caucus is a gathering of the party’s top leadership, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss pressing issues and chart the party’s course.

The meeting’s agenda has not been publicly disclosed, but it is expected to focus on critical matters affecting the party and the country. With the recent change in leadership and the upcoming NEC meeting, this gathering is seen as an opportunity for the party to reassess its priorities and strategize for the future.

As the ruling party in Nigeria, the APC’s decisions and actions have significant implications for the country’s political landscape. The outcomes of this meeting and the subsequent NEC gathering are likely to be closely watched by political observers and the general public alike.

The APC has been working to reposition itself since the emergence of Professor Yilwatda as national chairman, and this meeting is a crucial step in that process. As the party navigates the complexities of Nigerian politics, its ability to adapt and evolve will be crucial in maintaining its relevance and influence. With the NEC meeting set to take place on Friday, all eyes will be on the party’s leadership as they work to address the challenges and opportunities ahead.
