2027: APC trains 1,300 ward agents for E-registration in Enugu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken a significant step toward the 2027 general elections by training 1,300 ward agents for its electronic registration (E‑registration) exercise in Enugu State. According to the state APC E‑registration coordinator, Chief Flavour Eze, the training was conducted across four centers in the state as part of the party’s effort to ensure a seamless registration process, which is expected to commence in January 2026.

The APC aims to complete registration before the January 30, 2026 deadline set by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda. To meet this target, the party has trained five agents per ward, covering all 260 wards in Enugu. Eze emphasized the importance of accurate registration, warning that mistakes could cause problems. He expressed satisfaction with the agents’ understanding of the process and encouraged them to fulfill their assignment.

Eze also revealed plans to extend the registration exercise to villages, where canvassers will be trained to recruit additional members. The Enugu State governor, Mbah, has taken a keen interest in the exercise and pledged to provide the necessary logistics to support the agents. Eze praised the governor’s administration for introducing various packages and empowerment programmes for the people of Enugu.

The APC’s E‑registration exercise is a crucial step toward strengthening the party’s presence in Enugu State. With the 2027 general elections approaching, successfully registering members will be vital to the party’s performance at the polls. As the registration process gets underway, the APC will look to build on its existing support base and expand its reach across the state.
