Osun State’s All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Obokun Local Government Area have called for unity among party members to support the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in the upcoming August 8, 2026, election. Oyebamiji emerged as the party’s flagbearer through a consensus process, with other aspirants stepping down in his favor. However, concerns have arisen that some party members may not be fully committed to the party’s campaign due to dissatisfaction with the primary outcome.

The APC Leaders’ Forum in the local government area issued a communiqué after a meeting, emphasizing the need for unity among party members to secure victory for Oyebamiji.
