FCT Minister Wike Promises Improved Facilities in 2026

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has pledged to deliver more tangible developments and improvements to the capital city in 2026. In his New Year message to FCT residents, Wike outlined the administration’s plans to enhance the quality of life for residents through various projects and programs.

According to Wike, the FCT Administration has laid the groundwork for initiatives that will drive positive change in key sectors, including education, healthcare, the judiciary, transportation, agriculture, and security. The minister expressed his intention to commission rehabilitated schools, roads, bridges, health facilities, transportation hubs, and security infrastructure, among other projects, in the coming year.

Wike acknowledged the cooperation of FCT residents and friends in the previous year, which he said contributed to the administration’s achievements. He extended his greetings for the New Year and expressed hope that residents will continue to support the administration’s plans and projections. The minister emphasized that the administration’s efforts are geared towards improving the lives of all residents, regardless of their social status.

The FCT Administration’s plans are part of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which has already led to significant developments in the territory. Wike noted that the administration has made progress in transforming the lives of residents, with developments extending to areas such as Abaji, Kuje, and Kwali. The minister encouraged residents to remain law-abiding and to adopt virtues such as diligence, discipline, and determination, which he believes are essential for achieving collective goals. With a focus on delivering tangible developments and improvements, the FCT Administration is poised to make a significant impact on the lives of residents in 2026.
