Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to intensify their efforts ahead of Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections. In a statement released by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor emphasized the need to maintain momentum and canvass votes from every eligible voter in the state to secure the party’s success.

Speaking at a ward meeting in Adewole Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area, Abdulrazaq called on all APC stakeholders—including elders, women, and youth groups—to continue campaigning vigorously. He praised party faithful and the people of Kwara for their support in the recent presidential and National Assembly elections, which saw Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s candidates emerge victorious. “We are grateful for this achievement and thank the people of Kwara State,” he said, adding that he expects a similar outcome in the upcoming polls.

The governor also appealed for peaceful conduct, warning that opposition elements might attempt to disrupt the electoral process. “By the grace of God, we will win next Saturday’s elections,” he asserted, noting that Tinubu had personally thanked supporters. Abdulrazaq urged voters to turn out peacefully and vote overwhelmingly for the APC, emphasizing that violence must be avoided to ensure a decisive victory.
