NGX: Nigerian financial firm records 82% return in 2025

Nigeria’s Equity Portfolio Model (EPM) delivered an impressive 82 percent return for the 2025 financial year, outpacing major indices on the Nigerian Exchange Limited. This gain exceeds the NGX All‑Share Index by 30 percentage points and the NGX 30 Index by 33 percentage points, which posted returns of 52 percent and 50 percent respectively. The EPM’s performance marks a substantial improvement over its 48.1 percent return in 2024.

The model’s success stems from a well‑balanced portfolio that combined high‑growth opportunities with defensive, income‑generating positions. This strategic mix allowed the EPM to navigate market fluctuations and capitalize on favorable trends. Managed by Norrenberger, the EPM has recently been restructured to meet diverse investor needs. It is now offered as four distinct portfolios, providing a broader range of choices aligned with varying risk appetites and investment objectives. This redesign is expected to broaden the model’s appeal and deliver more tailored solutions for investors.

The Nigerian Exchange Limited is already showing a bullish trend, with four firms contributing to a single‑day equity gain of N469 billion. This surge in market activity suggests a positive outlook for Nigeria’s stock market, as investors renew interest in the equity sector. As the EPM and other investment models continue to adapt to changing market conditions, they are likely to play a crucial role in shaping the country’s financial landscape in the years ahead. With its strong performance and revamped structure, the EPM is poised to remain a key player in Nigeria’s investment arena, offering investors a robust and flexible platform to achieve their financial goals.
