ADC Can Topple Tinubu in 2027

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has expressed confidence that the party can unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. Momodu cited the potential alliances with prominent figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi as a key factor in the party’s chances of success.

In a recent interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, Momodu stated that the ADC can leverage the expertise and experience of its chieftains, including Nasir El-Rufai, Aminu Tambuwal, and Rotimi Amaechi, to challenge the ruling party. He emphasized the importance of strategic alliances and unity within the party, warning against allowing internal divisions to hinder progress.

Momodu revealed that he has engaged in private and public discussions with Peter Obi, suggesting that an alliance between Obi and the ADC could be beneficial. He also expressed his support for Atiku Abubakar, citing his experience and exposure as valuable assets to the party.

The ADC chieftain noted that the party is well-positioned to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), given its roster of high-profile candidates. He pointed out that the party already boasts two of the top three candidates from the last election, including Obi and Atiku, which could translate to a significant vote share.

Momodu emphasized the need for effective management and strategic planning to capitalize on the party’s strengths. He also stressed the importance of closely monitoring the electoral process to ensure a free and fair election. With the right approach, Momodu believes that the ADC can generate the necessary momentum to unseat the APC and claim victory in 2027.

The ADC’s ambitions are significant, given the party’s relatively recent emergence on the national stage. However, with its growing roster of experienced politicians and strategic alliances, the party is poised to make a strong challenge to the ruling APC. As the 2027 elections approach, the ADC’s ability to unite its members and leverage its strengths will be crucial in determining its chances of success.
