ADC Nasarawa State Congress Set for April 11 in Lafia

The Nasarawa State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed that its state congress will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2025, at De 1st Crown Luxury Hotel in Lafia, the state capital.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Idris Ojoko, who emphasized that the event is a key step in the party’s ongoing preparations for the 2027 general elections. The congress is expected to bring together party members from across the state to deliberate on strategic plans, leadership structures, and policy positions ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Comrade Ojoko urged all registered ADC members in Nasarawa State to attend the gathering, stressing that the decisions made will shape the party’s direction and readiness for future political contests. The meeting will also provide an opportunity to review the party’s performance in recent elections and align its agenda with the aspirations of the electorate.

The ADC, which has maintained a presence in Nasarawa State politics, is positioning itself as a viable alternative for voters seeking change in the 2027 polls. Party leaders have indicated that the congress will focus on strengthening grassroots mobilization, enhancing internal democracy, and building coalitions with like-minded political groups.

Nasarawa State, located in north-central Nigeria, has seen a dynamic political landscape in recent years, with shifts in party dominance and voter preferences. The ADC’s state congress is part of a broader trend of political parties intensifying their organizational activities as the 2027 elections approach.

Observers note that the outcome of the congress could influence the party’s ability to present a united front and mount a credible challenge in future elections. The ADC’s leadership has expressed confidence that the event will galvanize support and reinforce the party’s commitment to good governance and democratic principles.

As the date approaches, the party is expected to finalize logistical arrangements and ensure maximum participation from its membership base across Nasarawa State.
