New election date: NNL adjusts fixtures for matchday two

The Nigeria National League has adjusted the matchday one fixtures for the 2023 season.

The matches were initially scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 18.

The adjustment.was necessitated following the decision of the Independent National Electoral Committee (INEC) to shift the Governorship and House of Assembly elections from this Saturday to next week Saturday.

The INEC decision forced the NNL to swiftly adjust the previous date.

It would be recalled that the 2023 NNL season started on March 4 with FC One Rocket edging out Warri Wolves 2-1.

The matchday two ties have been fixed to now hold on Sunday March 26, 2023.
