Energia Limited has appointed Oladimeji Bashorun as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Chidi Egonu. The announcement follows Bashorun’s tenure as Chief Operating Officer, during which he played a central role in shaping the company’s operational strategy and supporting its long-term growth. Bashorun brings over two decades of experience in the oil and gas sector. His career includes senior technical and leadership positions at Shell Petroleum Development Company and Sahara Upstream, where he contributed to asset management, operational leadership, and performance improvement initiatives. His appointment reflects Energia’s focus on deepening industry expertise at the executive level. In a statement, George Osahon, Chairman of Energia, praised Bashorun’s leadership and industry knowledge, noting his commitment to operational excellence and strategic growth. “The Board is confident that under his leadership, the company will continue to strengthen its position as a key player in the industry while delivering sustained value to stakeholders,” Osahon said. Bashorun expressed his commitment to advancing Energia’s goals, emphasising operational excellence, responsible energy development, and value creation.
