On 10 March 2023, the spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, clarified that Mr. Isaac Omoyele, the Chief Security Officer to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has not been transferred from the state. Opalola made this statement in response to rumors circulating in some quarters that Omoyele had been moved following a petition challenging his appointment as the governor’s CSO.

During an interview with our correspondent on Friday, Opalola explained that Omoyele, along with four other officers from the command, was assigned to a “special duty” in Abuja. She emphasized that such deployments are routine within the force and that the officers will return to their posts after completing their assignments. “About five officers from this command were deployed for special duty in Abuja. Omoyele is one of them. After completing his assignment, he will return. Such deployment is not new in the force. I am not aware of any transfer,” she said.
