Poco has confirmed the imminent India launch of the Poco M8x 5G, the latest addition to its M8-series lineup that already includes the Poco M8 5G and the recently introduced Poco M8 Power 5G. While the company has yet to announce an official launch date, a dedicated microsite reveals the device will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. Ahead of the debut, prominent tipster Yogesh Brar has shared detailed specifications and expected pricing for the upcoming handset.
According to Brar, the Poco M8x 5G will be positioned under ₹20,000, slotting between the base Poco M8 5G, which launched at ₹18,999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and the higher-end Poco M8 Power 5G, which starts at ₹24,999 for the same configuration. The leak suggests the M8x 5G will feature a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage.
The device is tipped to pack a substantial 6,000mAh battery supported by 33W wired fast charging. On the software front, it is expected to run Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box. Design cues from the official teaser indicate a textured flat rear panel with a square-shaped camera module in the top-left corner, finished in green with gold-coloured accents around the frame and camera island. The power and volume buttons are located on the right spine, while the left side remains clean.
Poco’s M-series has consistently targeted the budget 5G segment in India, and the M8x 5G appears to continue that strategy by offering a large display, high refresh rate, and generous battery capacity at a competitive price point. The confirmed Flipkart availability aligns with Poco’s long-standing partnership with the e-commerce platform for its M-series launches.
