Dimension Energy Secures $857M for Solar Pipeline Expansion

Dimension Energy has secured $857 million in new capital to accelerate its distributed solar expansion across the United States. The financing combines a $200 million increase to the company’s corporate credit facility with $657 million in project financing, bringing the total corporate facility to $650 million.

Nuveen Energy Infrastructure Credit and funds managed by HPS Investment Partners led the corporate facility expansion. The additional liquidity will help move projects from development into construction while providing flexibility as the pipeline grows. Since its founding, Dimension has developed more than 1 gigawatt of distributed energy assets and invested over $2 billion across projects operating or under construction. The company is owned by Partners Group.

The $657 million construction-to-term financing will support 29 distributed solar projects with a combined capacity of 149 megawatts. The projects are located across Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Advantage Capital served as the tax equity investor for the portfolio. MUFG Bank, First Citizens Bank, ING Capital, and National Bank of Canada acted as coordinating lead arrangers, with Fifth Third Bank serving as joint lead arranger.

Dimension currently owns more than 600 megawatts of distributed energy assets operating or under construction. The company expects the new financing to support its expansion toward 1 gigawatt of operating assets by 2028. The latest capital follows a $650 million portfolio financing completed earlier this year, underscoring continued investor interest in the distributed energy platform.

Rafael Dobrzynski, co-founder and chief executive officer of Dimension Energy, said the commitments demonstrate the strength of the company’s platform and will support disciplined growth as demand for distributed power increases. Nuveen Energy Infrastructure Credit highlighted rising electricity demand, noting that distributed solar can provide reliable power closer to where it is needed while benefiting from increasing transmission and distribution costs. Advantage Capital said Dimension has demonstrated an ability to move projects from development through construction, adding that the tax equity investment will support further project delivery and expand access to reliable, affordable electricity.

The company’s strategy focuses on developing, owning, and operating infrastructure rather than simply originating projects. Its portfolio spans several states with growing demand for distributed energy resources. Solar projects located closer to customers can complement broader power infrastructure and support communities facing increasing electricity demand. Dimension is now positioned to accelerate construction across its 149-megawatt portfolio, with further development expected to significantly increase its operating footprint over the next two years.
