Former Big Brother Naija housemate Phyna has publicly criticised fellow reality television star Sheggz amid ongoing controversy surrounding his relationship with Bella Okagbue.
The dispute erupted after Sheggz allegedly claimed Phyna had smoked in his living room. Phyna refuted the allegation in a video statement, insisting she had never visited Sheggz’s residence. She stated the only home she stayed at while visiting the couple was Bella’s.
Phyna said she and Bella have maintained a close friendship for years and have supported each other through difficult periods. She claimed to have stood by Bella throughout her relationship with Sheggz and helped her navigate several challenges.
Phyna accused Sheggz of repeatedly causing Bella emotional distress. She also disputed claims that Bella owed Sheggz N11 million, asserting instead that Sheggz allegedly owes Bella more than N30 million.
Phyna questioned Sheggz’s criticism of her lifestyle, accusing him of using shisha, vapes and laughing gas while condemning her over the smoking allegation. She further alleged that several women had contacted her with claims Sheggz made plans to take them on private trips, though she said she chose not to make the alleged evidence public.
Phyna said she had deliberately stayed away from the fallout between the former couple but decided to speak out after what she described as false claims were made about her. She warned Sheggz against dragging her into the dispute, insisting she would continue to defend Bella based on what she claimed to have personally witnessed during their four-year relationship.
“Don’t drag me into your mess,” Phyna said.
The public exchange has reignited interest in the high-profile relationship that began during their time on the reality show. Neither Sheggz nor Bella has issued a formal response to Phyna’s specific allegations.
