Ex-Kano deputy governor, Hafiz Abubakar, endorses NNPP guber candidate, Abba Yusuf

A former deputy governor of Kano State, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, has endorsed the candidature of Abba Yusuf of New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, for the Saturday’s gubernatorial election in the state.

Mr Abubakar, who made the endorsement during an interview on Express Radio FM in Kano on Thursday, blamed the APC-led government for failing the Kano citizens.

According to him, the present administration in the state has inflicted unnecessary hardship on them over the years.

While calling on Kano citizens to go out en mass and vote, Mr Abubakar urged the people of the state to vote wisely “in order to kick out the APC government in the state”.

The former deputy governor also asked the citizens to be peaceful while casting their votes, charging them to never allow anyone to rig or disrupt the exercise.

He said: “I ask the people of Kano state to come out en mass and vote for NNPP. And, they should not allow anyone to rig the election results because these people (APC) can do anything to rig this election.”
