The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps announced that it has deployed at least 2,010 personnel for Saturday’s House of Assembly election in the state. The information was released on Friday in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Daniel Aidamenbor.

According to the statement, the state Commandant, Mr. Olatundun Olayinka, said the personnel have been positioned at strategic locations across the state to ensure a smooth, hitch‑free election. He also warned the officers against partisan behavior. Addressing those on duty, the Commandant emphasized that this is a national assignment that must be taken seriously. He instructed them to report to their assigned posts on time and cautioned against any unprofessional conduct or “sharp practices” that could harm the electoral process or jeopardize their careers.

The Commandant urged the officers to act as good ambassadors of the Corps, adhering to its ethical code and the basic rules of engagement. “No misconduct will be accepted,” he said, wishing everyone a safe conduct of the assignment.
