EPL: Chelsea sets asking price for Mason Mount

The Blues are demanding the sum of £70 million to part with the England international as the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham are showing interest.

Mout is out of contract in 2024 and there’s been little or no progress with Chelsea in talks over an extension.

The England midfielder turned down the Blues’ last offer and Graham Potter’s side is unwilling to meet his reported wage demands of around £200,000, a week.

The 24-year-old Mount does not want to tie himself down with a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge to the club into his thirties.

Manchester United and Tottenham are monitoring the player’s situation at the club but Liverpool wants him more.

Jurgen Klopp wants to revamp his midfield this summer, with James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita set to leave.

The Athletic reports that Chelsea wants £70m to sell the midfielder this summer.
