Kelechi Iheanacho will look to extend his scoring run when Leicester City face Aston Villa in a crucial Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, Sports Extra reports. The Foxes have gone winless in their last six games and dismissed manager Brendan Rodgers on Sunday. They sit 19th in the EPL with ten matches remaining, while Villa climbed to ninth after a 2‑0 victory over Chelsea on Saturday.
Leicester desperately need a win and will rely on Iheanacho’s proven record against the Villans. The 26‑year‑old forward has netted seven times in ten meetings with Villa (five wins, two draws, three losses) and provided four assists. Although he has failed to score in his last six league games, his previous form offers hope for a side that has yet to keep a clean sheet since the World Cup ended, conceding in each of their last 13 top‑flight matches—including all seven at the King Power Stadium.
Speaking to LCFC TV, Iheanacho said, “Hopefully, we will go there and get something out of that game. We’ll do our best. We will stand up to it and we’ll do what we’ve been doing and be strong.” With Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell taking charge temporarily, Leicester continue their search for a new manager after parting ways with Rodgers by mutual agreement following a turbulent four‑year tenure.
