I’m not under pressure over goal drought – 3SC forward, Alimi

Sikiru Alimi is unperturbed by his inability to find the back of the net yet for Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.

Alimi missed the entire first stanza as a result of injury he copped in training.

The experienced forward has featured in all of Shooting Stars’ three games in the stanza but is yet to open his goal account.

The former Remo Stars player missed a penalty in the Oluyole Warriors 1-0 away win over Kwara United on Sunday.

Alimi stated that he is not concerned with his goal drought, stressing that the overall success of the team remains his ultimate goal.

“There is nothing to worry about. I am not under any pressure because I have not been scoring, the good thing is that the team is getting the desired result now and that is my greatest joy”, the ex Sunshine Stars of Akure striker told Shooting Stars Media.

“This happens sometimes in football. I’m not troubled by the fact that I’m not scoring now.”
