CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United’s Acquah gets best goal recognition

Rivers United forward, Paul Acquah scored one of the best goals in the group stage of the Confederation Cup, according to CAF.

Acquah’s second strike in Rivers United’s 3-0 win against DC Motema Pembe of Congo was selected among four other goals scored during the group stage of the competition.

The Ghanaian bagged a hat-trick for Rivers United in the game.

Young African striker Mudathiri Yahya’s goal against TP Mazembe was voted best goal of the group stage.

USM Algers Aymen Mahious’ goal against FC Saint EloiLupop on matchday one and Aubin Kouame’s goal against Diable Noirs were among the goals selected in the same category.

Acquah is currently the joint top goalscorer in the competition with four goals alongside ASEC Mimosa’s Aubin Kouame.
