The Delta State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of Chief Sylvester Efeurhobo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State. According to a community source who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons, the deceased was shot by assailants inside his residence on Sunday.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed both the killing and the arrests on Tuesday, stating, “It’s confirmed, we are still investigating. So far, three suspects have been arrested.” The late chief served as the chairman of an APC support group in the area known as the Achievers Group.
In response to the incident, party faithful in the community have called on security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
