Ronald Koeman Predicts Lionel Messi’s Possible Clubs Amid Departure From PSG

Former Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has named potential clubs where Lionel Messi could play next season, following his reported departure from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Koeman suggested that Messi may not be returning to his former team, Barcelona, due to the departure of his close friends and teammates, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Koeman expressed his surprise about Barcelona’s decision to renovate their stadium amidst their overwhelming debt situation. He then revealed his doubts about Messi’s return to the team. “Busquets will leave, Jordi Alba isn’t certain to stay too and these three are close friends. It wouldn’t surprise me if they would leave for Miami or Saudi Arabia together,” he told Dutch ESPN.

Lionel Messi’s contract with PSG ends at the end of the 2021/2022 season. He has been linked with multiple teams, including a possible return to Barcelona. The Argentine football superstar left Barcelona in 2021 after a two-decade stint at the club.

The uncertainty surrounding Messi’s future has left football fans anticipating what his next move will be. While some speculate that he may consider joining Miami or Saudi Arabia’s clubs, others believe he might extend his stay with PSG or return to his boyhood club, Barcelona.

Only time will tell where the football legend will end up playing next, but Messi’s decision is highly anticipated. The football world will undoubtedly hold its breath until an official announcement is made.
