Theatre Commanders Boost Troops’ Morale with Operational Visit to Lake Chad Region

The Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major-Gen. G.U Chibuisi, and the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Maj.-Gen. I.S Ali, have paid an operational visit to troops in the Lake Chad Basin region to boost their morale. According to Lt.-Col. Kamarudeen Adegoke, the spokesperson of the MNJTF, the commanders paid a visit to troops in Sectors 3 and 4, who are participating in the renewed onslaught on terrorists, codenamed “Operation Harbin Kunama” (Scorpion Sting), in Maiduguri on Saturday. Mr Adegoke disclosed that the commanders were briefed on the ongoing operations, achievements and challenges.
During the visit, Mr Chibuisi noted that the purpose of visiting the frontline was to raise the morale of the troops and appraise the operation’s conduct. Meanwhile, Mr Ali expressed satisfaction with the bravery and zeal exhibited by the troops, saying that they should remain focused on ruthlessly dealing with terrorists’ remnants in the Lake Chad Basin region.
