IAWPA African Director, Dr. Metchie Congratulates Tinubu on Inauguration

The African Director of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, Dr. John Metchie, has congratulated Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his successful inauguration as the 16th elected President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Metchie also urged all Nigerians, including members of the opposition, to support Tinubu and his Vice President, Kashim Shettima, in rebuilding the country and making it prosperous. Tinubu and Shettima were sworn in at a ceremony held on Monday, at the Eagles Square, Abuja.

In his reaction to the event, Dr. Metchie noted that only God bestows power upon whom he wills, at any given time. He further stated that Tinubu’s emergence as President of Nigeria is a reward for his years of dedication, hard work, commitment, and contribution to the growth and progress of the country.

Dr. Metchie also urged those who contested and lost the 2023 general elections to follow due process in their aspirations and take solace in the future, assuring them that Nigeria is a land of boundless opportunities.

He congratulated Tinubu on his inauguration as the President and Commander-In-Chief of Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria, adding that his credentials as a dogged fighter against military rule as well as his contributions to the growth of democracy, will guide him in leading Nigeria on the path of growth and progress towards prosperity.

Dr. Metchie recalled Tinubu’s achievements as the Governor of Lagos state, where he introduced the private sector into governance, revolutionized internally generated revenue, and created Lekki, a massive expanse of land for the industry.

As Nigeria moves into a new era, it is hoped that the government will heed the call for unity and work tirelessly towards the progress and growth of the country.
