Presidential inauguration shows God interested in our affairs – Osun APC acting chair, Lawal

The acting Chairman of the Osun All Progressives Congress, APC, Tajudeen Lawal, has explained that the peaceful conduct of the inauguration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima was a pointer that God is interested in the affairs of the party at all levels in the country.

The Osun APC chairman made this known in a statement signed by Kola Olabisi, Director of Media and Information, and made available to journalists on Thursday in Osogbo.

Lawal, who appealed to the APC members in the state not to be weighed down by the current plight of the party in the state, added that events of the recent past were a reference point.

“I am at peace with the success stories recorded during the celebration of the inauguration of President Tinubu and Shettima which was held by the party members and supporters on Monday in all the nine federal constituencies in the state.

“I am appreciative of the sponsorship of the trips of some members and leaders of the APC to the presidential inauguration in Abuja by the immediate-past state Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola,” he said.

He enjoined the Osun State APC members to keep the flag flying as worthy ambassadors of the state of Omoluabi.

He blasted the Osun chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for flaunting questionable victories acquired through political banditry.

Lawal also prayed for the repose of the souls of about 30 party members killed by hoodlums before the general elections.
