Peter Obi: The Chosen Candidate for a Better Nigeria, says Obasanjo

In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, former President Olusegun Obasanjo expressed his unwavering support for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election. Despite the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declaring Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, as the winner of the election, Obasanjo maintained that Obi is the candidate who embodies the vision of a better Nigeria.

The election results were met with legal challenges from opposition parties and their candidates, including the Labour Party and Peter Obi, who questioned the credibility of the process that led to Tinubu’s victory.

Highlighting his unwavering stance, Obasanjo emphasized, “For the Nigeria that I believe we need to have at this point in time, Peter Obi is still the best candidate.”

When discussing his greatest legacy, the former president reflected, “That I came here on this earth and God was immeasurably kind to me and showed His grace on me.”
