Tinubu Receives Strong Endorsement from Yakassai, Disputes Obasanjo’s Choice

Renowned Nigerian politician and elder statesman, Tanko Yakassai, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best candidate for Nigeria at this crucial juncture in its history.

Yakassai’s remarks directly contradict the recent comments made by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who voiced his belief that Peter Obi of the Labour Party was the more suitable presidential candidate for Nigeria.

During a recent meeting with President Tinubu, Yakassai asserted that the country is in dire need of a leader with a proven track record of effective governance and astute political acumen to navigate it through its current challenges.

Referring to Tinubu’s impressive term as governor of Lagos State, which spanned eight years, Yakassai expressed confidence that Nigerians can expect positive developments within the next six to twelve months.

“Right from the moment he announced his intention to run for presidency, I have been a fervent supporter of Tinubu,” Yakassai stated.

“My support stems from a deeply-held belief that only a skilled politician can effectively address the numerous problems facing our country.

“In the days following his inauguration, my conviction in his abilities has only been strengthened.

“The decisions he has already made, the laws he has signed, and the appointments he has made have clearly set him apart as one of the best presidents Nigeria has ever had,” Yakassai affirmed.
