Senator Simon Mwadkwom becomes Minority Leader in Plateau

In a significant development in the Nigerian political landscape, Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwom has emerged as the Minority Leader of the 10th Senate, representing the Plateau North Senatorial District.

In a move aimed at fostering unity and strengthening the opposition party, Oyewumi Kamorudeen Olarere from Osun West has been appointed as the Deputy Minority Leader.

Both Senator Mwadkwom and Senator Olarere are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a faction determined to regain prominence in the country’s political arena.

In addition to the key leadership positions, Darlington Nwokeocha from the Labour Party (LP) has been designated as the Minority Whip, representing Abia Central.

Completing the powerful quartet, Rufai Hanga of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has been chosen as the Deputy Minority Whip, representing Kano Central.
