Nigerian troops destroy 30 illegal refining websites, 125 storage tanks in Niger Delta

The Defence Headquarters says troops of the armed forces have in the final three weeks found and destroyed 30 illegal refining websites and 125 storage tanks in numerous operations in the South-South.

Mr Abdullahi Ibrahim who spoke on behalf of the Director, Defence Media Operations stated this on Thursday in Abuja on the bi-weekly media briefing on the operations of the armed forces.

Mr Ibrahim stated 227 ovens, 11 dugout pits and 21 picket boats had been additionally destroyed by troops of Operation DELTA SAFE whereas conducting Operation OCTOPUS GRIP.
