The Postmaster General (PMG) of the federation and CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST, Adeyemi Sunday Adepoju, said he met a debt of N5 billion on his resumption of office.

Adepoju disclosed this on Friday during an interactive session with NIPOST workers.

According to him, NIPOST is working to ensure improved welfare for its workers.

He stressed that NIPOST’s financial buoyancy is required to meet pressing needs.

“I met a debt of N5 billion when I resumed office as PMG. We are working on your welfare. We will do the needful. But we need to be financially buoyant before we can meet your needs,” he said.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Adepoju was appointed PMG of NIPOST in October 2022.
