Anaemena set to join Iraqi club, Peshmarga Sports Club

Experienced centre-back, Ifeanyi Anaemena is on the verge of completing a move to Iraqi club, Peshmarga Sports Club.

Anaemena turned down a contract extension offer from Remo Stars at the end of the 2022-23 Nigeria Premier League season.

The former Enyimba defender is expected to sign a one-year contract with the option of another year

According to reports, the player has agreed personal terms with the club and will travel to finalize the deal.

Anaemena returned from Saudi Arabia to play for Remo Stars last season.

He played a crucial role in Remo Stars’s second-place finish in the NPL last term.
