Ministerial list: Tinubu made no mistake – Yari

Former Zamfara State governor, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, has said President Bola Tinubu carried out a thorough and deep investigation on each of his ministerial nominees.

Yari spoke while stressing that the Senate was carrying out a thorough screening of the ministerial nominees.

Fielding questions from reporters after visiting Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday in Abuja, Yari insisted that Tinubu made no mistake in his nominations.

According to Yari: “The Senate believes strongly that Tinubu has done a thorough and deep investigation about the credibility of each and every person brought on board.

“So we are doing our best to ensure that we thoroughly interrogate the nominees to the satisfaction of Nigerians.”

The Senate is currently screening the ministerial nominees Tinubu transmitted to it last week.

The Senate has screened the likes of Nasir El-Rufai, Wale Edun, Dave Umahi, Nyesom Wike, Betta Edu, and others.
