Transfer: Liverpool legend slams Chelsea owner over move to hijack Caicedo from Reds

Former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher has lambasted Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly over his desperation to land Ecuadorian midfielder Moisés Caicedo despite Liverpool and Brighton reaching an agreement for the player.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Liverpool, on Thursday night, agreed a British-record transfer fee reportedly worth £110 million to sign Caicedo from Brighton.

The player was set to undergo medicals for the Reds on Friday, but instead, he made a U-turn and informed them that he only wants to join Chelsea.

Moments later, he followed the Blues on Instagram.

Reacting, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher wrote on his Twitter handle: “110M is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a 21-year-old. Boehly has lost his mind yet again.”
