No intention to hike fuel pump price – NNPCL breaks silence

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited has debunked claims making the spherical over an upward assessment of fuel pump costs nationwide.

NNPC Limited disclosed this in a press release on Monday.

The Company’s response is coming amid hypothesis of an upward assessment of fuel pump costs.

The President, Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero, had threatened to embark on strike with out issuing a discover if the fuel pump price will increase.

“Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPC Retail value your patronage and do not intend to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated. Please buy the best quality products at the most affordable prices at our NNPC Retail Stations nationwide”, the Company wrote.

Recall that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria mentioned that so long as Dollar continues to rise within the international change market, an upward increment of fuel price could be imminent.

Last month, fuel entrepreneurs hiked fuel pump costs to over N600/per litre.
