EPL: Why Partey is missing against Man Utd – Arteta

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has explained Thomas Partey’s absence from his matchday squad to face Manchester United.

Speaking ahead of the game at the Emirates, Arteta confirmed the Ghana midfielder “felt something in training”.

No time frame has been given for Partey’s return, as more tests will be carried out,

“We need a few more tests – he felt something in training,” Arteta said.

The club added on its Twitter account that Partey had picked up a groin problem.

In his absence, Arteta makes three changes to his starting XI for the game.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalhaes and Eddie Nketiah all start for the Gunners.
