Nigeria forward Victor Boniface has won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for August.
Boniface’s Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen made the announcement on their X handle.
The 22-year-old beat RB Leipzig winger Xavi Simons and Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu to the award.
The forward has started his career at Leverkusen on an impressive note.
The former Union St. Gilloise striker scored two goals and provided one assist for Leverkusen in August.
He is also in the running for the Bundesliga Player of the Month award.
