University of Benin Exposes and Apprehends Admission Fraudsters

The University of Benin has successfully uncovered and apprehended a group of fraud syndicates involved in admission racketeering.

In an official statement released on Sunday in Benin, Benedicta Ehanire, the spokesperson for the university, disclosed the news of the arrests.

According to Ehanire, these syndicates masquerade as admission officers of the university and engage in fraudulent activities such as falsifying admission documents.

What is even more disconcerting is their audacity to collect school fees from unsuspecting victims, deceitfully claiming to assist them in payment to the university.

The spokesperson stated, “Already, some arrests have been made and we want to emphasize that the admission process at the University of Benin is completely free of charge. We strongly advise the public to exercise caution and be vigilant to avoid falling victim to these unscrupulous fraudsters.”
