Speaker Laments Student Abductions

The Speaker of Nigeria’s  House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen has lamented the resurgence of abductions of scholars at tertiary establishments by bandits within the North-West area of Nigeria.

The Speaker raised the priority following affirmation by the Katsina State Police Command on Wednesday of the kidnapping of 5 college students of the Federal University, Dutsinma within the state.

Reacting to the abductions, Speaker Abbas referred to as on safety businesses to rescue the kidnapped college students and stop any recurrence, noting that the scholars’ abductions pose critical threats to schooling within the North in addition to wherever else within the nation.

Expressing the disturbing nature of the ugly development, Speaker Abbas, due to this fact, charged the navy and related safety businesses to, as a matter of urgency, rejig their structure and approaches to make sure the safety of all Nigerians.
