The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovations, and Digital Economy, has launched the Nigeria Artificial Intelligence Research Scheme. This scheme offers grants of up to N5 million to tech startups and researchers.

According to a statement from Fredrick Nwabufo, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Public Engagement, interested parties can apply for this opportunity. The aim of the scheme is to build a dynamic and sustainable AI ecosystem in Nigeria by providing financial support and promoting knowledge collaboration.

Application Deadline

The application period for the scheme will close on November 15, 2023.
