The Lagos Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Dr. Abdul‑Azeez Adediran—also known as Jandor—expressed deep concern over the ongoing attacks on his campaign by suspected political thugs. He reiterated these concerns during a meeting with the Council of Chief Imams at the Ketu Central Mosque in the Kosofe Local Government Area, a stop on his campaign tour.
Earlier that day, his campaign train was assaulted by hoodlums, resulting in a member of his security team being stabbed. Adediran noted that similar incidents have occurred repeatedly across various local government areas since he began his tour of 245 wards on 19 October 2022, with some of his supporters, including journalists, also sustaining injuries.
Despite these challenges, Adediran remains resolute in his mission to liberate the state from the ruling All Progressives Congress.
