Reps seat: Appeal Court affirms election of James Ibori’s daughter

The attraction courtroom sitting in Lagos on Tuesday affirmed the election of Honourable Ibori-Suenu Erhiatake of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who was elected to signify the Ethiope Federal Constituency, Delta State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Erhiatake the winner of the February 25 election.

But Ben Rolands Igbakpa of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, and his All Progressives Congress, APC counterpart, Mr Halims Ahoda, challenged the election final result in courtroom.

Justice Festus Ogbuinaya, Justice Senchi, and Justice Waziri, who delivered the judgement on Tuesday in Lagos, upheld the decision of the tribunal, which earlier declared the PDP candidate because the true winner of the election.

Ibori-Suenu Erhiatake is the daughter of a former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori.

In a press assertion issued on Tuesday, Erhiatake described the ruling of the courtroom of attraction as a victory for God and her constituents.
