Messi didn’t deserve to win Ballon d’Or over Haaland, others – Singer Bayanni

Nigerian singer, Oladokun Abimbola Elijah, higher generally known as Bayanni, has mentioned Argentine footballer, Lionel Messi didn’t deserved to win the 2023 males’s Ballon d’Or.

According to him, anybody else may have received it however not Messi.

Media Talk Africa remembers that Messi noticed off competitors from Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and others to win a record-extending eighth award.

Reacting in a current interview with Cool FM Nigeria, Lagos, Bayanni mentioned the Inter Miami participant didn’t do sufficient to win the award, arguing that a variety of different gamers have received the World Cup up to now and weren’t handed the Ballon d’Or.

He mentioned, “Based on what I’ve been hearing from people, Messi won the Ballon d’Or because he won the World Cup. But many people collected World Cup trophies in the past and they didn’t win the Ballon d’Or.

“What I’m saying is that it should have been Haaland or somebody else but not Messi.”
