Israel Agrees to Daily 4-Hour Ceasefire in Gaza Strip – White House

In a significant development, Israel has announced a daily four-hour ceasefire in the northern Gaza Strip, marking a notable shift in the ongoing conflict with Hamas militants. The decision, confirmed by the White House, is a crucial step towards de-escalation and peace in the region.

John Kirby, the spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, revealed that the Israeli military has committed to halting all operations in these areas during the specified timeframe. The ceasefire is set to commence today, with advance notice of three hours before its implementation.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas reached a critical point on October 7, 2023, with a large-scale incursion by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip into Southern Israel, leading to a substantial increase in hostilities.

The toll of this prolonged conflict has been devastating, with reports indicating that over 10,812 Palestinians have tragically lost their lives in the Gaza Strip since the commencement of the war.
