Coronation Group Attracts Investors at London Parade

The Coronation Group, an investment management firm, has made a significant move to actively engage investors as the lead sponsor in the Grand Procession of the Lord Mayor’s Show in London. This strategic participation aimed to promote investments into the country, marking Africa’s inaugural presence in the 805-year-old parade.

The exclusive event commemorated the installation of the newly-appointed Lord Mayor, Michael Mainelli, and showcased the Coronation Group’s dedication to fostering global exchange. Among the diverse array of participants were China, Italy, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Nigeria, where Lagos State represented the Nigerian contingent.

Leading the Nigerian delegation were the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Chairman of EnterpriseNGR and Coronation Group Limited. Aig-Imoukhuede, a distinguished figure in the financial sector, expressed his gratitude, stating, “Coronation Group is honoured to be woven into a rich tapestry of cultures that reflect centuries of collective effort to develop commerce, communities, and charities.”

The grand procession highlighted the vibrant Nigerian culture through the mesmerizing ‘Eyo’ masquerades, pulsating Afrobeats music, and a captivating parade float showcasing Lagos’ advancements in the transportation sector. This fusion included representations of the Lagos Blue Line, ‘Danfo’ buses, ‘Keke’ (tricycles), and iconic landmarks such as the Lekki Bridge.

As part of the festivities, the Visiting Cities’ Banquet, hosted by the City of Zurich, Switzerland, provided an opportune avenue for participating cities including Lagos, to celebrate their strategic significance to the City of London while forging meaningful connections.

The Lord Mayor, Michael Mainelli, underscored the significance of building global partnerships for success and emphasized the show’s dedication to nurturing lasting bonds across borders. The high-profile banquet also saw the participation of distinguished UK VVIP guests, reaffirming the event’s importance in celebrating diversity, trade, and fostering global partnerships.

The Coronation Group’s active participation in the Lord Mayor’s Show Parade and Visiting Cities’ Banquet not only underscored its commitment to promoting Nigeria as Africa’s premier financial market but also demonstrated its dedication to global collaboration for shared success.
