Ewi of Ado Installs Bola Aderoju as New Eyegba in Ado-Ekiti

The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Ruphus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, has recently presided over the installation of Yeye Bola Aderoju as the new Eyegba of Ado-Ekiti.

The elaborate ceremony, which took place at the historic palace in Ado-Ekiti, was graced by prominent individuals, including community leaders, women representatives, as well as council chairpersons from Ado-Ekiti Local Government and Local Development areas. They all accompanied the new Eyegba to the palace, where she undertook the traditional rites.

Under her new role, Yeye Aderoju assumes the title of “Leader of All Women in Ado-Ekiti (Olori Obinrin of Ado-Ekiti).

During the installation, Oba Adejugbe offered prayers for the new female chief, urging her to consistently advocate for the welfare of the community, particularly the women. The monarch also beseeched for enduring peace, stability, and progress for the largest town and capital of Ekiti State.

In her response, Yeye Aderoju expressed her gratitude to Oba Adejugbe for deeming her worthy of such an honour. She pledged unwavering allegiance to the paramount ruler of Ado-Ekiti.

The Eyegba also utilized the occasion to reiterate her commitment to women’s development agenda in Ado-Ekiti, imploring everyone to offer her their utmost support and cooperation.
