Police in Ondo State Vow to Stop Disruptive Activities

The Police in Ondo State have issued a stern warning to individuals involved in plans to incite unrest for their own political gain, stating they will not tolerate any actions that threaten the peace and security of the state.

In a statement released in Akure, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ondo State Command, SP. Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, emphasized that they are aware of the intentions of certain political elements to disrupt the peace by mobilizing young people. The PPRO stressed that intelligence reports have revealed the concerted efforts of these individuals to cause mayhem in the state, with the aim of advancing their selfish interests.

Odunlami-Omisanya highlighted that sponsors are seeking to create chaos in the state, with the ultimate goal of embarrassing it for their own gains. The State Police Command has unequivocally warned these elements to desist from their actions, or face the full consequences of the law.

Assuring the law-abiding citizens of their safety, especially as the yuletide season approaches, the PPRO reaffirmed the commitment of the police to maintain peace and order in the state. (NAN)
